The gas companies claim that the Marcellus shale is too deep to affect the aquifers, but what happens if the get a bad casing/joint? A blow out that ruins all the drinking water in Monroe County and surroundings could be worse that the blow out in the Gulf. We need to band together and stop them, like they did in NY, before it’s too late. The only way to clean up an aquifer is to never pollute it in the first place. Once it’s polluted, there’s nothing that can be done!
